Our team is supported by world-class research and development with access to global resources that brings new innovation to our industry. One of my roles at Bayer is to ensure these technical innovations provide practical solutions for growers.
Ornamental growers are constantly battling new insects, diseases and weeds. To meet this challenge, scientists at Bayer are busy developing novel and effective management tools.
Bayer offers several products that have become standards in the industry for controlling insects and mites, including Kontos® and Savate®. Most recently, Bayer introduced Altus®, a novel chemistry providing selective, broad-spectrum systemic control of insects, making it an excellent option for integrated pest management programs. Altus has no application timing restrictions – labeled for use before, during and after plant bloom.
Our comprehensive herbicide portfolio includes Marengo®, the longest lasting preemergence herbicide for nurseries and a strong choice for use inside greenhouses. Bayer also offers solutions like Aliette®, Banol® and Fenstop® for controlling downy mildews, Phytophthora and Pythium; as well as broad-spectrum fungicides like Chipco® 26019 FLO, Compass® 50WG, ProStar® WG and Trigo™. Bayer is also proud to be introducing another novel chemistry: Broadform™ fungicide.
Broadform is a broad-spectrum, dual-action fungicide targeting economically important leaf spot pathogens including Botrytis, powdery mildew and others. If you are not familiar with Bayer products, you may want to take another look at the strength of our solutions. The entire Bayer Ornamentals team is here to support you, so you can grow beautiful plants that bring health and happiness to people.
